Wings of the Mind My wings are made of colored views Transparent lights and deeper hues’ From angers croft to greens of soft It’s thus I fly in flights aloft. Glide among the topic floral Those of sweet and other Loral And feed upon the nectar lain No second thoughts, without disdain I fly the circle of the globe From mountains to the desserts probe From members of the communard To daffodils of avant-garde And in the flowers of this field I seek the dower of its yield. The magic of its beauties store The secrets of its inner core It will be done, if not by me Then I pray, it will by thee. |
