Take my hand and be my love,
whil'st we dance, 'mid stars above,
'mid sapphired jewels of Southern Crown,
sequined gems of heaven's gown.

Apollo's lute plays sweet refrain,
as two as one, we waltz again,
swaying softly, 'cross welkin's floor,
to sounds of Eros, night's amour.

O' Dulcinea, come to me,
to dance entwined, eternally,
encaptured in night's sensual dance,
in Luna's glow to find romance.

Passion's coursing through the night,
Come be my love, in heaven's light.

Oh,Mike~
No one ... but no one,
writes the night as romantically lovely as you do.

Darn this is just gorgeous !
A contender for top-shelf !
I just love the sound of it read aloud.
*sighhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Beautiful.

You must be in the country, your Honor, in order to see the constellations so clearly... and without the city's racket to sing the song so beautifully...

well done, Sir...

Hi Mike--seems I am last in line for a dance.  The romance of this poem is ancient and new and very becoming.  Loved it!

oh my, oh my, I think I'll change my name

do you think it would be too, too obvious if I asked all to call
me Dulcinea from this moment forth?

Thank you all so much for your extremely kind and gracious replies.  I invite you to gaze upon the stars tonight, as there is no beauty that compares to the heaven's on a summer eve.  I suspect you will hear the symphony of the night and might even feel the urge to dance.  Again, thank you all.

Ahhhh, who could resist such a lovely invitation to dance beneath the stars ?

I was just checking out the Nordic Observatory Telescope site -
some mighty pretty things out there to write about !

Thank you again for sharing this lovely piece of writing.
