Black Widow Of Time

Dare not gaze at me
in this tangled thread of life
cobwebs age my soul
destroying youth's vast canvas
time's plume no longer stirs dreams

Oh WOW, you just said it so perfectly. Time feels an enemy to me, often.

I really loved the depth of this verse. It grasps the whole of aging and youth to me. Wonderful!
Sincerely,

I'm impressed!

you made writing a tanka seem so easy...

ohh, i feel that way too sometimes...sometimes i feel old and haggard in a young body

(sigh) Sooooooooo powerfully bittersweet, dearest friend, my heart goes out to you and I hope now your youth shines with gossamer lace and the child in your heart sings once more with silkened laughter and hope! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is marvelous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
