The Shores of Alone

His paintings grow more tragic
as he goes from red to blue
no longer painting magic
just a jagged bitter hue.

A morbid blackened canvas
with a painted over smile
splattered shades of former bliss
so bereft, all gone awhile.

Dripping vagrant thoughts remain
refusing to be covered
added black and purple stain
twisted intent still hovered.

Still he paints away his fear
while discounting falling tears.

Could it be that he misplaced the vibrant source of color that added the life to his paintings, and his soul? I think maybe...

This is a clever write Sandra...
wonderful employ of imagery and color to express and portray the emotions...

You prove the point, cat.  A poem can be as vivid as a painting!
Well done!

Sandra,
"Ruined Art" is only your view on this subject.  To a Prince, he would give you the masterpiece you deserve. Great write.  KTDA...
