Love down, a new word used.
     I liked that word.
     Not a broken heart,
     just love down...
     Made sense to me.
     Heartbroken,
how can a heart be broke?
I guess when it comes down to it
     a heart can't be broke.
     A heart continues to beat~
     a heart goes on~
     a heart can forgive~
     a heart can heal.
     Lovedown,
     have to remember that word,
so the next time ya feel like your
     heart is broken, remember
     you aren't heartbroken,
     your feeling love down.
It just sounds so much better...
     and seems easier to accept
     than a broken heart.....

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

it was love that first drew me,
it is love that will keep me here...
now I see love burning brightly
when everything else is unclear...

I liked it,it only makes  since. If your let down in love then you would be love down.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

Gentle spirit
I really like that! I will remember that for the next time someone says they have a broken heart!  Will be a great one for my girls when they get older

Thanks to all of you for the kind comments, but the true inspiration for this came from my wise friend "DS" who was just helping me see things in a different perspective one day. (thanks DS, and hugs, your words help me even now) His words really hit home with me that day, and I will be  eternally grateful for the friendship and the shared wisdom.

Love down sounds almost like a sunken ship christened "Love."  I like the concept like all the others.

Well done!

Love down...enjoyed the thoughts.  Sounds like your friend is a wise one.  This was really cool the way that you worked it into poetry.  *s*
