she notices her tear
in the reflection of his eyes
damn the mirror that he holds
up for her at times like this
she didn’t ask him to
but it’s something that he
can’t help but to do
it’s what he’s always been
he’s always been the one
that lets her see herself
as she is, as she was
as she would like to be
her words reflect back to her
on the membrane of his soul
because it’s the only way that
he can get her to understand
the only way that he can
help her to grow, to change
to be the woman that he knows
is within her heart
the woman that she would like to be
this is what he shares with her
this is the reflection that she sees
the obsidian reflection
of his eyes

Another jewel for the romance poet.
As always, this is wonderful. Lots of things happening within it.

Sven, a very strong, good read...but I think there are a couple of small areas where you can tighten it up just a little bit...

now...quit reading my memoirs....

Very good.  VERY good!
