Someone...
Virginia Salter

someone stole the darkness
filled its corner
with a great orange ball
that shone a whiteness reaching
far into the heavens
gleaming the midnight blue
into a soft, soft gray
placing a golden edge
on all within its path
gilding even flesh
along with mineral
vegetable
and flowing liquid gas

kissing the hour
with a new and precious day

nicely written, I can't get the hang of free verse and envy those who can write it.

heh heh heh, well, I must admit that last night, since I wrote this last year, that I was trying to decide what the liquid gas was, I'm hoping it's the dew or something like that.
Thanks Interloper and Decaflame!

However, just so everyone knows, this is a description of an amazing sunrise last year.

And an amazing sunrise it was through your words too!  Enjoyed this.
