Here it is Again
Virginia Salter

here it is again
caffeine’s in a spin again
my mind is in a din again
so what am I to do?

harnessing this energy
takes a bit of synergy
I’m quite sure you will agree
when mind is in a zoo

of course it’s quite apparent
one would not be so error bent
to think that this excit-e-ment
is real and duly true

yet when coupled with some nutrients
and laced with just a bit of sense
and tasty, luscious condiments
some activity is due

therefore, perchance,
there’ll be a dance
or ‘round the block I’ll surely prance
and say “Hello!” to you

so, will you meet me on the green
we shall make a lovely scene
of two ladies going upstream
with faces turning blue

After I finish this cup, I'm off on my walk...unless I can't stand not having breakfast first, at any rate, either way I'll be back.
