Apples Naive

Distress blows hard upon my sail
And the riggings cry out in wail.
Straining to stand the strength of dare
Hard pressed to guess the why and where.

Bolts of streaming lightening strike
Thunder screams across the night
Phantoms dance upon the dense
Fiddlers fiddle on the fence.

And echoes fear, holds hands with me
For I am blind and cannot see
The saving sight of greenery
Beyond the shadows mystery

Each scream of rage grows whiter white
The locks of hair that were delight
And skin that turns like seas to gray
Within the terms of times display

To those that search the ship I leave,
The last of my apples naive

Very nicely written. Leaves me wanting to call a search and rescue though! The sea holds many secrets. Mysterious and calling. I like this very much.
Sincerely,
Rwood

Rwood,
Thank you for the read and interesting comment. As for the rescue I can only offer naive apples. LOL

Randy's dragon came again
leading you to where knows when
took upon you a fright
led you through the blackest night

I shall take an apple's naive
to sit beside your side in grieve

Sunshine,
Thank you but the apples naive may have turned to apple sauce. However thank you for sharing it with me. *L*

my goodness...what did you and Randy eat before bed *L*
Well, its apples again is it?...
I dont think applesauce is gonna cut it tho...
Im thinking more like a Spicy Cinnamon Fried Apple to go with the raspberry tea...
or a Carmel coated Dandy Candied Apple for Randy...
and as for naive ... you are far too wise for me to believe youd sink in seas of naive
Im thinking for you Ill make some Wisdom Waldorf ...
with extra Walnuts and *winkiewinkies* LOL
which leads me to you being the apple of my eye and theres nothing left to do but bake you a pie
EVE *L*

only you could give love that satisfies the soul...
see the darkness of my heart and still won't let me go.

Now any time you go writing about apples and then include the word naive ... you gotta know that JM isn't far behind.  Of course we all know that her apple cart has had a sail on it for years now and that is why we are so wonderfully fond of her.

OOOPS.........back to the poem!!!!  Very well expressed and I truely enjoyed to cadence to it, but then again, you have always had a way of mixing a tune with your creations even if it isn't intentional.  Well done sir.

very nicely done..

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.
