I am romantic and free
I wonder why you aren’t here with me
I hear the ocean’s rhyme
I see destiny woven in time
I want to know your melody
I am romantic and free

I pretend I don’t miss you
I feel as though my heart were see-through
I touch and hope that you feel
I worry you won’t know my love is real
I cry when I’m treated wrongly
I am romantic and free

I understand very little inside my heart
I say you’ll never finish, if you never start
I dream of a sultry tune
I try not to easily swoon
I hope you know you are a part of me
I am romantic and free

SEA you may be romantic but we know that there is nothing "free".

"I understand very little inside my heart
I say you’ll never finish, if you never start"

I do like the sound of these two lines.

A challenge well met my friend.   Thankyou so much for the welcome home. I have been sneeking in from time to time to read...
I rarely show my face anymore for two reasons. Limited time and writer's block....AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH...lol

SEA, this is a very sweet answer to the I Am challenge...and I really enjoyed the 'sultry tune/swoon' couplet. The work did stumble a bit, but that's to be expected with the structural format of the challenge. But, I'd say you handled it very well.

Very romanticly written, just keep writing like that and you will not be free for long.
