Shadows In The Mist

The oceans are a necropolis
For many shipwrecked souls
Centuries of victims roam
The margins of its shoals

Densest clouds of fog conceal
The vestige of their plight
Spirits riding high wave’s crest
Cloaked in brumous white

Searching for their final rest
A marker for their grave
Something that tells the world
They lie beneath the waves

Through centuries they wander
Undaunted they persist
Doomed to roam the oceans
Mere shadows in the mist

Hi Brian, this is touching and well done. Makes me see the souls of the titanic, calling to not be forgotten.

Well done Brian, this is a work of art.

BRAVO!!! A sad but wonderfully written account of all the brave noble people who have sailed the great oceans in pursuit of adventure and freedom! (big hugggsssss) This is wonderful! It is so great to see you're expanding your wonderful talent, dearest friend! I am so proud of you! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Perfectly reflective of lost ships and ghostly seas. This has always been an interest to me. You have written it hauntingly well. The words grip you to read!
Sincerely,
Rwood
