Rhythmic Pulses
Virginia Salter

porch swing on veranda
warm summer night neath pale moon's light
hand hold
strokes of silver haired tresses
tantalizing lip caresses
thigh by thigh thoughts
want to's or knots
that bind the love we share
cheek by cheek peeks

embers reignited
in firefly's glow
rhythmic pulses
mark time

whisper me
a priceless rhyme
of summer love
