Like a watcher
Out of sight

Safe

Nerves keep

Calm

The longest wait
Changes patiently

From nothing

Each reward happens

So far, I've gotten two distinctly different sets of images from this one.  My first thought was of a professional assassin, stalking his prey and keeping his cool until the right moment to strike... but then I decided that was too scary, and read it again looking for another meaning.  The second was the romantic side, of someone waiting quietly, patiently, for the person they feel pulled toward, and their hope for a joyous conclusion to that vigil.

I'm really loving this series of 20- ones you're doing, they're a blast to think through.

interesting write here... can speak on several levels about different things, which I admire in words... the reader then can take from it what is important to them...

I enjoyed Mark..and am impressed with how these have developed..

It reminds me of a hunter waiting ing the woods. If he is pataint enough he gets his reward. So it is in all things that we wait for. They prove to be worth the wait.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

Teddy, your interpretations are equally "valid"...  this just supports my fascination at how the same words can mean so many different things, at the same time, to different people.  It's also a commentary, in its own right, regarding the bigger picture of communication and interpretation -- the subjectivity to language, depending on the frame-of-mind of the audience/listener/reader...  Thanks for reading and replying -- I'm having just as much fun, personally!

Thanks, Ron -- this is equally enjoyable and enlightening for me.

Indeed, Dan:  a good point and an interesting visual.  Thanks.

So are you saying that if we wait long enough, the end result will be happiness. I sure hope so. I can see many sides to this one too, but I think that was the strongest impression.

Basically, Sandra, but here's another paradox, for I've always thought that "waiting's for people who don't know what they want"...  There's truth to both sides, as always, so it again comes down to things like perspective, motive, desire, balance, and ultimately:  Wisdom...

Martie -- this is good:  that's one of my biggest motives with these "20-series" is to make people at least go "hmmmm....", for thought is a very good thing.  Thanks for the read and comments.
