Sy, you know how much I like Haiku/Senryu/Tanka and I like this piece.  I will have to ponder this, though.  Between you and Ron, my navel gets a thorough examination quite often

Eden in your mind
a verdant garden blossoms
butterflies fly free

only you could give love that satisfies the soul...
see the darkness of my heart and still won't let me go.

I could read this all day.   In just a few words, you've said so much. I'm too well acquainted with "awesome lonesome" and would shake it readily if I could - but it is what draws me to poetry.   Beautiful work!

You have summed it up perfectly...and with such poetic ease!    I am sure you have no trouble suckling the odor of your own awesome lonesome.

Well, I just wanted to say I agree with all above, this is a nicely done Haiku, and truly does capture the essence of "poetry".  Enjoyed very much.

Faterider,
A flattering comment, thank you once again.

Smitten,
No trouble with the odor just writing the words. Thank you.
