~Smile!~

when your day is going smoothly
then suddenly it changes -
something starts to bug you
and your mood just rearranges

instead of getting grumpy
don't throw no silly fit
just close your eyes and tell yourself
"I've had enough of it!"

think of all the good things
that make your life a joy
like raspberry hot chocolate
and chewy Chips Ahoy!

puppies hiding 'neath the sheets
and little girls with flowers
thinking of your favorite things
can make you smile for hours

the simple joy of baking bread
can even be exciting
what a sinful pleasure
when into a slice you're biting

roses, shaded lavendar
soft moonglow in nightsky
critters playing near a lake
and bright red birds that fly

all these things and many more
can brighten up your day
so look those gloomies in the eye
and tell them "GO AWAY!!"

SMILE!
