Baby Shiloh's Dream

You lie here, hooked to
monitors and tubes.
Buttery ringlets
frame your angelic face.

Robbed of breath
at the age of one;
you dawdle in limbo;
I pray for your return.

Mute, placid, adrift
on angel wings you travel.
What do you see in this dream
that keeps you from awakening?

Are you warm and aglow,
or in a silent shadow
where I can not enter
and you can not escape.

Can you feel Grandma's love
when I kiss your soft warm cheek?
Do you feel my heart pounding
against your limp body
when I hold you in an embrace?

Is the tear I see
in the corner of your eye
a physical response,
or a sign of hope?

I'm knocking on your slumber
and pleading for you to
Please! Wake up!

How I wish I knew,
if you are trapped in turbulence
or enveloped by angelic hymns.

~~~~~~~****~~~~~~~
Shiloh is my grandson and he almost drowned
3 years ago... He is still in a coma.
Thank you so much for your kind words and compassion. Yes, for those who pray thanks for the prayers.... My dear grandson would need a complete healing miracle. We have *not* given up hope.   ((~.~))
John 16:23 ... I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
My prayers are with you all.
My prayers too are with you. I feel selfish in saying that I'm glad I'm not nor have been in this position but have had those dark daydreams before. I would be tempted to read to the child and I'll wager you do. God bless.
Shiloh, the little   wants to thank each and everyone of you for the prayers and  sending positive energy his way. This picture was before the accident... The other picture on top of the poem was from Geocities and it did not come out.
Maggie,
Well you know how I feel and my arms and heart have been and always will be open for you.   You know I love you all and you are always in my prayers, always.
Hope you don't mind I copied to my site and moved one here for you:
This is Shiloh After his accident
If you are wondering where the picture went (Geocities won't let you take their bandwidth and link to that site.  You are welcome to use my homepage to store pictures.
to be cradled in the Father's hands so closely is surely Shiloh's gift
to be cradled in the hearts of all who know of him and his life, a miracle for certain
where there is life, there is hope
the life God chooses, ultimately for Shiloh, will be pure perfection for him
in fact, just think what Shiloh's life is doing for many right now...uniting them to proclaim the Father's will, amen...
Oh Flutterwings, you know you are welcome - what would the world be without your gentle, sweet pictures, hugs, and loving words.  Thank you for the flowers they were lovely.
Oh...and in the bouquet was a 'flutterby'!
Ah hah...Tripod won't let you use their graphics either (remember that Maggie), just tried one and it vanished!  Oh well, it was cute, a little girl holding flowers, lol!
