unheard,
But felt,
it slips like early
rays between half closed
blinds making light
of midnights promise

Grasping for the edges
I wrap them around me
trying to ward off
the chill of
knowing

Very well written, It intrigues me to look beyond the words.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

Ah to hide in dreams and the peace of sleep's release. Few words, large effect.

Oh! My Goodness! A poetic work of art.
I stand and applaud   with admiration of a true poet laureate. Have this one published! I guess by now you know I love it?   You inspire me! ((~.~))

...what a cool stanza!  I love the play on words with "light".  I also love the cold/ironic/bizzare imagery of wrapping BLINDS around one's self to keep warm!  What an image of taking pieces of plastic and aluminum to use as a blanket!  And "the chill of knowing"...  in itself a very potent phrase!  Dense and powerful, Ron!

This strikes me as a quite insightful look at a strong feeling of regret, and perhaps a hint of something else...  betrayal?
