Whales Song
By: Noah Eaton
7/8/01

O Echo, what dost thou hath to sing today?
How doth thine heart sing aloud?
Reveal thine tone for us all to hear
Audition this holy song proud

Treasures of the sea are glorious and plentiful
But the priceless fortunes come from the souls of the deep blue
That triumphant vision of a whale rising it’s fins out over the waters
Synonymous to the silky afterglow of a first kiss from a love so true

Barnacles bellow like the spouting horn
Beaconing His word from beneath the surface
Silent billows of teal massage murmuring sands
Bowing before Her secret purpose

Calm eyes breaching through the densest of fog
Hale gills perservering the coldest waters
Baptizing sacred coves ere mundane neglects
In the mutter of this didactic brother

A whales song is this golden silence
A love of freedom synchronized
Atonement is but an open abyss
Blessings the many cobbles splashing down into these relaxed opal eyes

O Echo, of all the melodies thee hath to recite
May all thine be understood
There freedom be your boundless expedite
Will shall serve you good

Oh I love this.... I grew up in a place where you could just go out on the pier and watch the whales pass... sometimes it seemed
as if they would wave.. say Hello!!!
I long to go on a charter and follow them for weeks.... A friend of mine did this and it WOWed her.....
Thank You for sharing this write

I've been out on whale watches to view the most mammoth of God's animal creation... and they are truly beautiful as you have so well described... but a bit frightning when the boats get to close  where you feel the wake of their underbellies rubbing underneith.  Wonderful.
