Let it be cold.
Let it be freezing.
Let the icy wind drive all the warmth out of my clothing so that I must shiver for hours in the vain attempt to get it back.
Let there be death all around me:
the anticlimactic kind that doesn't end with a bang or whimper, only a brrrr.
Let there be an unusual amount of dullards saying things like, "Boy, it's a cold one today!"
Let my mother call me, which I'll let the machine get, and remind me to bundle up.
Let the whole world sit like an ice cube in some stupid yuppie drink.
Let it be so cold so that I'll be warmed all the more by your love as I have none of my own.

I enjoyed reading this.  You might want to consider posting it in Dark Passions.  Maybe, maybe not?
