~~~* The Knowledge of her*~~~
He knew her
and thought he’d draw
Worlds within worlds
Telling of her
He knew the twinkling stars
In her eyes
The ever-tempting whispers in her
The delicately soaring music in her
Which he could all but swear of it there
There tucked within her
Though he has never heard the whole symphony of it
He knew
a sunset so different
Of that of the world
Where darkness is conquered
With the angelic light of her
And the night is just the black
Scarf of her
Tottering shyly
Behind the steps of her
And the moon
Is just the jewel of her
Clinging desperately
To her
He knew of
A sunrise utterly magnificent
Where all the enchanting rays of her
Embrace the world
Touching gently all of him
And capturing
And yet setting him free
He knew of
velvet shores of dreams
That she could only give,
Cascading waves of emotions
That she could only stir.
He knew of
Silk woven
In dreams of her
He knew of words
Different ..
Once uttered by her
Were the letters the same?
The alphabets the same?
Which he knew all his life?
He could hardly tell
All he could tell of
Is the melody of her
Enchanting
And indescribable
He knew
Of paintings
Lost
Magical brushes
That could paint life
But never paint
Her….
He knew of
The lace
Of her gown
The delicacy of it
The intricate pattern of it
And secretly wondered
In yearning
If he could ever know
The full delicacy
And intricacy
Of her
He knew of the fluttering of doves
In the vision of her
And wondered
Would she set his own fluttering free?
Let him be all that he should be….?
He knew of
his own heart beats
That seem to have no measure
No absolute line that could describe
The race with the winds that they seem to take
He knew
Of his breath
Utterly lost
Utterly gained
And which is truer
She alone seems to know
He knew …..
And
he knew
And
he knew
And how much of her
Is there in the knowledge of her?
He could only wonder……
Knowing that it is
The enigma
Lost between folds
Of the never fully realized
knowledge of her.
Thank you
Wow...  leaves me with numerous questions:  who IS she?  Does she know HIM?  What is he going to do next?  Would COMPLETE knowledge of her ruin her in his eyes?  Wonderfully waifting and descriptive write, MEM.  And I LOVE the painting!  Who is the artist? (I couldn't make out the caption...  it reminds me of work in the style of the brothers Hildebrandt).
this is so lovely
your interpretation of the painting is exquisite
upon a pedestal is she in his mind
some of the questions raised by Mark are certainly warranted, when anyone is placed in such high regard but the romantic in me wants to let it be so, for awhile, for him and even for her
superb piece
I loved the juxtoposed ladies too......It gives a shade of mystery.....
Thank you for the nice comment
He is full of questions as well and yearning for the knowledge of her......
How much of her does he know?........That seems to be the pounding question in him.....
I too have the same questions you raised.....and would the complete knowledge of her ruin her in his eyes?.....would it set him free as he wishes?
The artist is Jonathon Bowser......and Yes...I think his work is magnificent and magical.....
Thank you dearly
It would seem that for any romantic. . . this would be the ultimate expression of their love. . . to know someone so completely and honestly that they would almost be ourselves. . .
you write in this as if you have found that secret. . . it is my hope that you have. . .
beautiful. . . just beautiful. . .
Wonderfully done. It just flows with mystery.
Love and the loved hearts pour out with joy.
Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.
Your touch is artistry soft~
You KNOW I like the presentation !
Very nicely done.
I find it amazing that a man could feel so much towards a woman.
It feels my heart with warmth to know men still feel that way towards a woman.
Deep, true and un-ending... (sigh)
She is one lucky girl!
