Crescent moon and star, just a wandering planet,
Their conversation, interrupted by the sun,
Light gray mist recedes, soft nightly magic is spent,
Peace is overcome, torn by action now begun.

Light creeps the corner, till morning reaches windows,
The brightly clad stir,  scurrying from their places,
Warm day moves with breeze, whirled into corner shadows,
Removing the cool, to expressionless faces.

Day’s brightness is there, crescents faces will appear,
Sweat glistens the skin, concrete begins to waver,
Heat inundates all, rising make shade disappear,
All rushing to peak, slows in afternoon swelter.

nicely done... descriptive and the imagery is great... the passing of time noted in degrees rather than hours..

Mountains…
Rising from desert waste
Capture clouds,
Squeezing their life blood
To feed sparse grey trees.

Soft smoky haze,
Obscures hard edged stone
Reducing vast distance
Into water color images.

Morning’s passage,
A slow steady crawl,
Is measure in degrees.
