This poem is written for my soul sister Jane.

You know not of the love you give
Or the caring heart you have.
The many touching words you've said
Were often a healing salve.
Life had knocked me down at times
Giving me blows so deep.
The tears inside were building up
Because I could not weep.
The beauty that was deep within
Was seen by only you.
You nurtured it with love and care
And it slowly grew.
Our God above
He knows my frame
And every single hair.
Has often seemed so far away
Like he didn't care.
He brought you in my life and heart
Wove a cord of love.
He sent to me a friend so dear
A blessing from above.
The hidden things within our souls
Alike in many ways,
The many hurts and sorrows
We have passed
Throughout our days.
Our mind and spirit is the bond
He fashioned from the start
He wove it with great love and care
From his very heart.
Your inner light that shines so bright
Is seen by those around
I love you for your caring heart
And the love I've found.
One day soon my light will shine
In the dark of night
I know now that your heart of love
Has helped bring me into the light.
Because you have touched my life
In a way that is caring and free
I leave with you this little note
To say
I LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY.

LOVER LETTER? I hope you meant lovely letter. Jane is my soul sister-----------my dearest closest friend---NOT my lover.

Anyway, Thank you for your replies. It truly is amazing the power that love has in a persons life. Whether it is the love of a romantic partner or simply the love of a friend. Either way, a life is truly blessed when you discover love in your heart.
