In a corporeal internship...

0 posted 2001-07-16 09:55 PM

(Now that I've posted most of my older poetry and lyrics, I'm ready to dive into some fresh writing and thoughts.  Since my style tends to be lengthy and very strict form and rhyme, I'm going to try something a little different for me:  a new series of poems that I'll call "TWENTY OR LESS..." implying that each will consist of twenty or less words, in free-form style, with the intent of letting the words conjure up subjective impressions and definitions for my readers -- let the previous boundaries of style and form evaporate, for a while, and let's see what your impressions are...  Enjoy!  -MVS)

Reading your thought
A thousand reflected smiles
Eyes slanting your desire
A constellation of music inside

Volumes composed
in symphonic tones heard
when reading your thoughts

Approaching a haiku there, Ron! Nice.  So your interpretation points to a composer inspired by relating to another?

Many types of composition Mark...
when I read your poem...I thought of the way love is composed in our hearts...

Listened meaning
from underlying words
many voices speak

As the resident romantic, I see a woman looking at you with desire, and it creates the music of your lives.
Enjoying these writes, challenging in a way, as there are so many ways to interpret.

Well put, Ron.  Keeps me thinking...

Sandra -- this is a lot of fun...  It's like a big "Rorschach Test".  From my perspective, I get to glimpse at the thought-process of others while at the same time achieving some insight into angles I had not considered within my own writing and interpretations.  I definitely can see your interpretation, as well, Sandra.
