How Unromantic

After some thought I suppose
you probably broke my heart.
No wonder I've been
feeling so blue.
Should have known it had
something to do with you.
Don't mind me
and I'm sure you won't.
Do you have any feelings for me?
Looks like you don't.
It's not your fault
I fell in love so fast.
It's not your problem
I got serious at last.
I can't say why right away
I start thinking forever
while romantically we never
spend that much time together.
Why must it always end this way?
Will my heart survive another day?
Just give me a fair chance
to linger in the beauty of romance.

Hi James,

I have walked in these same thoughts before, it's easy to want something and be thinking in terms not yet granted, and thinking of the future and being with someone is who we are, one day you will in your fullness of giving and receiving love will look back and have all of the answers to all of the why's
and this next statement tells me that you are truly a loving person and I wish you the very best.

"Just give me a fair chance
to linger in the beauty of romance"

James,

I also have a tendency of falling to fast.  And I know it hurts. You have such a loving heart.. its a shame to see it broken. I have to say I loveee the last two lines. So well put.

"Just give me a fair chance
to linger in the beauty of romance"

Love it love it   Good write.

Ah James, I know just this feeling. We romantics just want it to be real, and beautiful, and as we dreamed. And these dense other ones just don't get it. Sigh..
Lovely poem, too.

Some have passion's thirst, could be worse. Someone must fall first, good verse.

Memories can't be taken away.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

It's so good to be loved, but some people don't appreciate love. Great poem!
