You have heard my sorrow song
Its bile fingers penetrating your throat
Each word hangs to your mouth on a hook.
I grow weary of this, for today at least
I am smugly tasting unadulterated peace.
The water's stillness reflects light
Stars sparkling on a crest fallen wave,
The ripples tickle bathing skin
In embryo purity I have not yet
been baptised to your hollow eyed misery.
Let the cavern ears carry my joyful echo
I am laughing, shattering still sorrows
to myself in this moment of bliss.

------------------
This poem exists for no better
reason than just to exist,
it is like a silly rhyme
or simple thought
It is a short holiday
from miserable dissection
and inner pondering
think of this as not a statement but.....
A SMILE.

------
My muse left me alone,
forcing me to venture
through my dusty archives
and I found this little thing
once posted in Dark 2.

"Here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain There is whiskey in the jar-o" Traditional irish song.

Your disclaimer....leaves me grinning!  I needed this...I knew if I would come in to read you, I would find....

a sense of peace, and semblance of good!

every now and then, I do a good thing for me!

WOW...I LOVE the imagery in this
not sure I get the part about this being a joke or whatever...
its a deep dark poetic pleasure..
gonna give it to my muse..
reminds me of her--"hollow eyed misery" LOL
going to bed...later Bri-gator

There comes a point when youre not sure why youre still talking
I passed that point long ago
