it’s blank, black and a child
of even great intelligence

would call it icky

this mood

this … aura

if I had a mood ring
of many colors
it would
take itself off my finger
and hide

my dog would sniff, then snarl at
my outstretched hand
and run

my cat would arch, hiss, turn
it’s back and
stroll away

they don’t want it, either

can’t find a speeding car to
throw it under…

wind refuses to blow it away….

it denies sunrays and won’t
cauterize

it refuses to be showered
and clings to my feet, not even
willing to stream down the
drain

like flat cream that won’t be whipped

an egg that won’t crack

a balloon that refuses air

damn this mood

'Deer, come around for a loan anytime...you won't like the interest, but the funds are there...LOL...

Captain...thank you!  Definitely a dark mood, but with a little help from a friend, trying to exorcise...now to print and destroy...

Yeah, this mood ring tries to jump onto my finger with alarming frequency. Cool poem.

A week and a day this all made sense...and it still does in a way...

glad to know I left it behind me, but wanting to thank you all for coming in to read, and for the encouragement left behind....
