Something Old ... Something Blue

~*Marge Tindal*~

Something old, something blue
borrowed memories of you
now fade from my view
as you walk away
with somebody new

That old look in your eyes
that I still recognize
now slowly I realize
you look at her that way too
as the tears come to my eyes

I'm caught in memory's trace
that time cannot erase
these old memories embrace
a time way back when
I was the smile on your face

Something old ~ somebody new
something I've got to do
get past loving you
I've just got to move on
hoping to find somebody new

The message was loud and clear and with such a wonderful beat... that I almost got my guitar out and put music to it. I like the attitude and determination in these vivid images. Sometimes we have to let go..... and go on to something better. Sometimes, it hurts but, nothing lasts forever.
Bravo! I give this a   Love and peace ((~.~))

Forget the invitation of Mr Deer,
And get your bootie on over here.
Vancouver is the dating hub,
Just sashay into any ole pub.
Men here are a dime a dozen,
I can introduce you to my cousin?
Forget him if he walked Marge,
The world of men is very large!
He’s just another fish out to sea,
I told you come and visit me!
He he  Yanno, it always hurts when they hook up with someone new, even if we don't want them.  Do you suppose it must be a female kinda thingee?  Oh I hate to have to think at this hour it hurts. PS...beautiful graphic, just beautiful!

Marge-

yes, those offers might sound nice
but, might i suggest you think twice
these arizona men are hot
whether summertime or not
just come and visit ME, my friend
we'll find a man your heart to mend
and bring those muses with you too
'cuz these guys will inspire you
balladeer's ok i guess
but why should you settle for less
when phoenix promises great things
when caution to the wind one flings
mysteria....bring her along
would I ever steer you wrong
trust me, dear, you wait and see
how sweet those desert men can be
i'll be waiting by the door
you'll never have to frown no more

Marge, sweet friend..
I really do love this poem.
It's beautiful, and the graphic is lovely.

love ya,

A little blue-noted muse sang it softly to me.

Vicky~
Just look at you and Mysteria,my friends
trying to start a 'fix-her-up' to mend

balladeer, sweet gentle man
you've got me feeling bad
it wasn't my intention
to make you feel so sad

just wanted Marge to join me
in the Arizona sun
and bring along Mysteria
oh, that would be such fun

how 'bout you come and join us
you'll no longer be blue
and once you're here, i'll bet
you'll teach these men a thing or two

don't worry 'bout no sunburn
i've got sunscreen to spare
we'll gladly rub it on you
just trust us if you dare

we'll take such good care of you
you'll never want to leave
and if you think i'm lying
soon, 'deer, you will believe

hugs to you, 'deer..
~vicky

Marge-
you know i couldn't just let him go
on being all wounded and sad..lol.
you just bring him and mysteria along
with you and will ALL have a great time!

Well, Vicky, I must say that I am filled with great elation
To read your words of love with such a wondrous invitation.
To be there with the three of you 'neath Arizona's sun
Would be the greatest thrill that had been known to anyone
And thoughts of hands carressing me with touch of Coppertone
Is certainly enough to make me tingle to the bone...

But while you and Mysteria were tempting Marge with thoughts
Of mounties, Aztecs, fun in sun and other who-knows-whats
Sweet Marge just smiled and shook her head and made her thoughts quite clear
By pledging all her loving to her kind, sweet Balladeer
So spread that lotion somewhere else..my body will be tanned
And cared for in a tender way by Marge's loving hand..

That you're the only only one for me!! Hey, girl! I'm on my way!!!

Well Balladeer it looks quite clear to me,
That you’ve got things in hand I see.
Vicky in Phoenix, on her knees begging you,
While Marge is shouting out, “I’m true blue!”
Well I’ll be no part of this ménage a trios,
I am not a member of some bourgeois!
Look at you Sir; you’re so very fickle,
Got yourself into one fine pickle.
Marge, calls another her warrior indeed,
Look at his written words and heed:

"come join me in our glen
        forget about the other men
and if we let our spirits rise
        smoke will cloud this surprise"

Women like an element of surprise,
If men hint, we love to improvise.
Now what you’re offering is pretty clear,
I believe it was “a little slice of deer?”
Well look above at Soaringeagle’s last line,
To me that’s sounding might fine.
And as much as I love you Balladeer,
His message is more loud, more clear!
So Canada wins the ménage a trios,
Maybe you should learn parle’ vois François.

(Hugs Deer, all in fun!)  You guys are 3 funny!

p.s I always hated that song, what happenend to "Stand By Your Woman?"

~If you have a choice to sit down or dance, I hope that you will always dance~

Dear Vicky, if you let me come I'll treat you like no other.
I'll give you joy and happiness....you say you have a brother??
I'll fill your heart with love and I will never treat you wrong.
You'll be so glad you've chosen me and I.....er, is he strong?
No matter! You will be the one this balladeer adores
'Cause Phoenix may be hot but I know when it Raynes, it pours!!

Mysteria, now as for you, though I would be delighted,
Before you turn the offer down, please wait till you're invited!
You side with some Canadian....that's no surprise...good grief!
I'm sure you think that Adam was dressed in a maple leaf!

My Margie doesn't need sore eagles to provide desire...
She doesn't care for smoke...that girl just wants to see the fire!!
So, if you're on your best behavior, you may join us, hon..
Who knows? Perhaps you'll learn to love the taste of venison!!

you're right about one thing, Mysteria. I DO love ya all!!

now that you've made it clear
that it's to me you will be true

with a Rayn of pure delights

OK, Vicky...on my way. I'll tell you what we'll do..
I'll meet you at Popago Park and we'll go to the zoo
Then we'll go to the Heard Museum - that is always fun
Then the America West Arena to cheer on those Phoenix Suns!!

They say La Fontanella has some good Italian dishes
Or else we'll hit the Oyster Grill, if that fulfills your wishes.
The Arizona Biltmore I am told is quite a place
Perhaps I'll find a way to put a big smile on your face

Tell Phoenix I am on my way and get yourself in gear

how did you know
the zoo's my favorite
place to go

those phoenix suns
are pretty cool
but if you ask me
football rules!

the Heard Museum
sounds just great
you sure know how
to plan a date

italian food
sounds good for dining
take me there
and I'll be pining

come and get me
make me smile
then stay with me
a little while

no, Phoenix surely
ain't been done
until we've done it
one on one!
