In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2001-07-14 11:53 PM

Here
Alone
Waiting, Thinking, Hoping, Wanting
Wanting for someone, you
To make me alive
My flesh is dead
Drying
Needing to live
Hours pass
Days
Weeks

My need raging inside me like a fire
You inside me,
Me Inside you,
I can feel your feelings
I want to feel your soul
I do
At Night sometimes when I am alone
Every small noise a dagger in my heart
Because it is not the soft low sounds of your pleasure
But the sound of my own heart

Sometimes I am sad

Sad that not every moment in our life is free
Sad that we were not children together
Sad that life gives us what life sometimes will
Sad that your eyes have ever cried tears
Sad that………

At once happy
Happy to know you
To know you like perhaps no one has
perhaps no one will again

Love, that’s it love,

Love is hard
We are hard
But as I sit here thinking of things,
I realize
This is love
We are hardened
But together
Soft

I sleep now
The pillows around me giant boulders
Pressing on me
Holding me down
Contrasting your soft warm soul
I feel you wherever you are
Making the rocks softer
Filling my mind… soul
Seeing you as a child

Time

Love

Sleep

History

Lauren,

Do we ever real know a heart?  There's such longing, sadness and even comfort in this.  It's an interesting piece to read over and over.  I loved it, my friend.

This is one to be cherished, so full of sadness and yet beauty.  Life IS hard, and yes, I wish I was a little girl again at times....
