I raised the placard
on my seat
above my head
at the appropriate time
and became part
of a message
that only God
and the Goodyear blimp
could see.

I wondered
if I were
an important square
or simply

       a blank space

            between letters

i wrote a pome by the same title in the middle of superbowl...... still can't figure out what what i wrote means....... but it was right in the middle of the beginning of it so how could i possibly figure it out anyway?

but that was then and THIS , your poem is so wonderfully expressive and absolutely YOU and that, my sweet 'deer man , is perfectly delightful, as are you......

there's no "half" in trim
with rhyme
it's all the "ALL"
of verse in stall
on whims in trims
or stanzas linings,
we're  sometimes trapped
in timing's words with rhyming
off the edge of who knows where
in half of time
that's settled there.

a half time show?
damn! you're the bowing......
a star, applause,
i'm here now vowing

there's no half time
in games not playing......
the show's a show
in our dismaying...

((((( yourpoemiswonderful ))))))

thank you for the reading.......

Balladeer-
   LOL...I love this!
You could NEVER be just a blank space...
more likely the exclamation point at the end!!

What an amazing message and analogy in this one...I'm positive you are not a blank space, though they are extremely important for should there be no space between words, one could scarcely find the message.

Ah Michael ... wonderfully creative and clever, much enjoyed the message in this lovely piece!  There is no such thing as a blank space where you are concerned, sweet poet. I somehow feel that even if you "were" given the blank space, it would only be a test to see how quickly you would fill it up with wonderful words that would pale the entire message in comparison.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Sometimes there's a clearer message in the blancs then there is in words.
You've been noticed, believe me, sweet Deer.

Balladeer,
Aren't we all blank spaces? But being aware of it, now there's the rub. Enjoyed as always. Sy

I opt for the blank space...the piece that speaks without speaking...a pause, a sigh, a look...more subtle than mere words...thats you big "M"

Hah!  A blank space would drive you nuts, and it would be filled in a minute.  Nope, you would never be a blank space that is for certain.  Very creative.
