The Last Sunrise

~*Marge Tindal*~

She rose in golden glory
rays ablaze across the morn
Flinging light upon the meadow
gossamer gown of glowing adorn
Skipped across the mountains
the valleys and the seas
Left her crowning touch
for everyone to see

She kissed the bluebells into blooming
Warmed the birds so they would sing
Breathed a sigh 'neath butterfly
to give them lift of wing

Tanned the hides of kids at play
in sand castles by the sea
Caught a ride on current flowing
then waved goodbye to me

Beams reflecting prismed beauty
on the ebb of tidal tears wept
Out across a crimson sea
she laid down her light and slept

Marge-

I had a feeling you'd show up here
before too long, my friend..
This is so beautifully written...
I can feel the the warmth radiating from this..
(and not just because I'm in Phoenix!) LOL
I love this sunny little piece..

"She kissed the bluebells into blooming
Warmed the birds so they would sing
Breathed a sigh 'neath butterfly
to give them lift of wing

Tanned the hides of kids at play
in sand castles by the sea
Caught a ride on current flowing
then waved goodbye to me"

Love it, love it, love it!

warm sunny hugs,
Vicky

Yanno, your words are like honey on me little tongue!  I absolutely loved these two lines:
Breathed a sigh 'neath butterfly
to give them lift of wing
now, how special are those?  You just have a way with making words sing from that heart of yours.  Loved this one, gonna buy a nice frame for it!

It is incredible how you can find new ways to describe the things that we see every day and take for granted, and you bring such freshness to each subject. God has really blessed you with a great talent to descibe his world.

Oh, I'm such a sucker for sunrises/sunsets...and combine that with a Marge poem, and, well, a beautiful thing, indeed!  This is truly amazing...the imagery is spectacular!  If you couldn't tell, I loved it...
