~* Young Love ~ Memory No. 1 *~

He picked her up precisely at eight.
She looked so cute going out the gate.
I told her she had to be home by ten.
“Don’t be late, or you won’t go again”.

They giggled; did I see mischief in those two?
Oh well, you have to let them go, what can you do?
He opened her door, then climbed into his Dad’s car,
He had gotten his license today, but it wasn’t too far.

They didn’t even go to the school dance,
What was on their mind, was a little romance.
They headed for the local beach instead,
An evening of their first kiss was ahead.

The moonbeams danced on her pale face,
While she held him close in a tight embrace.
She looks up at him with a beautiful smile;
He shyly looked down into her eyes for a while.

Thoughts were racing, oh how she loved him so,
He's so oblivious, and how could she let him know?
She didn’t know if he even felt the same,
And she wasn’t into playing some silly game.

He gingerly took her in his arms, held her tight,
He wondered if she would mind his kiss tonight,
Two hearts racing, wondering if they should,
And also wondering if they even could!

He slowly took his jacket and shirt off,
She cleared her throat with a little cough,
She dropped her party dress quickly to the sand,
And with some hesitation, she reached for his hand.

She could hardly breathe, as she smelled his skin,
He was quivering inside, what was happening to him?
He wondered why he had not done this before,
And all she could think of was that she wanted more!

Suddenly his lips were on hers so soft and sweet,
Both agreed that kissing was really kinda neat.
So on a beach a memory of a first was made,
And I’ll guarantee you that memory will never fade.

That night he gave her his school ring to wear,
They were going steady now, quite a cute pair.
And as she looks back on that night so long ago,
She still smiles at her very first kiss you know.

Nicely done. The first kiss we shook so much I broke her tooth. It' always been the most memerable momment of and relationship.

Do not fear going forward slowly,

Sounded a bit more than a kiss. Interesting, the female perspective, not so much innocence lost as tossed. Viva la differance!

Vicky: Yeah but we were actually listening to THAT song, you were probably listening to something I truly could not identify with LOL

Richard: Sheesh, just a little touchie~feelie and a kiss, haven't got to that photo album yet. Brother you guys in Texas are faster than our Canadians that is for sure!   Thanks for reading it.

Brought the song to my memory.."They say for every boy and girl there's just one love in this whole world and I know that I've found mine.  We will vow to one another there will never be another love for you or for me...young love...first love"
I like the way you wrote this...James

James Michael - you got it!  And those words in that song are true, as there is for every boy and girl just one love in this whole world, but you have to find it!   I am so glad you enjoyed this.

>b?Martha, Victoria and Martie, was there anything as special as that first kiss?  I think not really.  I would love to see you gals into your albums too.  My friends husband gave me years of photos my girlfriend had put together with such a vivid recollection hand-written beneath each photo, so I am having a ball going back in time. Thank you three so much.
