Your name floats by,
A feather in the breeze,
My heart, thundering,
A smile to seize,

A two faced coin,
Forever looking away,
Our forbidden love,
Sets my deep disarray,

A kiss in the dark,
Powerful and bright,
The two sides merge,
Together one night,

The rise of the sun,
A balloon above ground,
Destroys our love,
The coin is again round,

A tear of pain,
As our love is divided,
I can see you no more,
My happiness, subsided,

Can a fobidden love
Ever come free?
Or is my love trapped forever,
Looking away from me.

We must read the lines before we read between the lines.

I really like the use of a coin in this one...sometime forbidden love is like a coin always turned the wrong way...thank you for this.

forbidden love...ah, there's a poem there waiting to be written and you just did!
