Pack the bowl and squeeze my hand
So you might understand why these nights are so special to me
And in the haze he comes into view
So I smile seeing he brought me food
But I can't help but laugh at my own foolishness
We aren't even doing the speed limit
And the music is playing so quiet while we sing so loud
Smile while we're all still friends
Tomorrow always comes again
And I have to pretend it was unusual
This is what weekends used to be about

Almost sounds as if you are dating your former, or latter, spouse...and if not that...then an old boyfriend...

and there's a whole school of nervousness attending...

but that's just one observance...on another read, I might see something...else...

I like it alot, but I get totally confused as I walk/wade/run through it. No matter the mode.

Firedancer,
I am going to agree with my friends dg and vlraynes...a bit abstract but wonderfully done!  I like this type of writing...pretty new to me, but I'm getting used to it! Welcome to passions....
