desert aches

spiced air
simmering on
sun raised waves

tangs reach
far from
scrubby flowers
the desert
throws up and out

he teased...

grit in eyes
crunching
but not making
marks
unlike boots
in sand beneath
this burden

that once,
weightless,
rose in
summer's sky

played among
clouds

sang with birds,

bathed in pools
of blue

          ~*~

Yet
hollow eyes
bleached bones

stare
empty
arrid
reminders

again a thanks to the Muse who went scavenging with me...

Very strong imagery...... for a moment, I even felt the pangs of death.

Yes, yes, yes, you do scavenge well...you do know the desert.  Say did you ever desert your dessert in the desert?
