somebody died
and I don't know who
but it is sad to hear
somebody died

world,
this is a strange place,
where people meet each day,
days pass and years,
they seem to fly
and after several flights
people depart,
walking away
into another meaning
of paradise

and yet we move on
as we evolve
and the mill rolls
shed a
t
e
a
r
and pay homage
and then wipe the tear away
and all we are left with are
memories
photographs in the souls
neatly titled by feelings
towards the departed
and relationships developed
in that life time

"thus went my friend,
who inscribed in this heart,
with all his/her essence of being,
four letters
l  o  v  e"

gift,
it is a gift
to remember
and to drink a sip of tea
and look at the cup that you hold
and be reminded of the one
who had held it once
when your friend
was in town
before

the body has taken leave
it has
left

the spirit stays behind
to spread
light
...

I don't know why I wrote this, but I haven't written much lately. Just thought I should share this.

Moreover, I have been tied up by many things... I'm really sorry for not being around to read all that you wonderful poets write. I really miss reading you all. Thanks for understanding.

Regards,
Sudhir

Yes, this is wonderful and I'm so happy you've shared it.  It must be that it was being stored up to be written.  It is one I'd love to share with a "Hope for Healing" group. Is that okay?

Sudhir, a very insightful and well written poem, It seems that most people's muses are going silent at the moment. Maybe it is a poetry flu going around.

Sudhir~
This is so softly said~

'gift,
it is a gift
to remember
and to drink a sip of tea
and look at the cup that you hold
and be reminded of the one
who had held it once
when your friend
was in town'

Yes, it is exactly like that~

'the spirit stays behind
to spread
light'

My friend, my friend ~
Thank you~

Wonderful ponderings from you today Sudhir ... I've missed this. Your wonderful visual of holding the cup that a friend once held, stays with me. How often we can hold  something inanimate, and yet allow our minds to wander into the reality of what "was". Beautiful Sudhir ... just lovely.

Best wishes,
/Kit

A light touch to a heavy subject. Nice to think of the departed as a reminding comfort in their passing.

This rambling speaks your mind, and heart, Sudhir.  Not your usual fare, but then, all things change, so that we can come around again to find ourselves...

we miss you, too....

come back when you can...
