The Shores of Alone

Amor, she says, is all she needs
but scarcely can she find the source
till walking through the park one day
she strays a little bit off course.

An aged man of wisdom waits
a scroll of parchment in his grasp
as she goes by he offers her
says what you crave is found at last.

Within this scroll the potent spell
the formula for love of souls
approach with care, admonished he
for herein lies much more than gold.

From gentle eyes fall salty tears
as she thanks him with voice of awe
and hurries home to start her task
with faithfulness in what she saw.
