My eyes close, and I strum a chord,
        a song I hear,
                deeply inside…
My fingers touch strings, music plays,
        just rhythm,
                and my soul is gratified …

Sounds that I hear, these thoughts of you,
        slowly the chords come alive,
                sensuous…
You are my one desire, loving, as I sway,
        and my being feels notes,
                they are your accomplice…

My voice tempts me and dares to sing, only to one,
        tenor is bluesy, bawdy, sexy,
                as melody begins to accrue…
All these words I write down, with care,
        then song completed,
                and I touch you…

Your eyes gaze into mine, piercing,
        speaking in different tones,
                it's I, you choose…
One so fair, my thoughts are yours,
        but two you will have,
                ‘Me And The Blues’…

my, my, the blues are sweet? I always thought they were sad.
