O'er windswept ridge, soar on high Caught far above, in tear blue sky Scantly disguised, despair exudes No peace, no love, just solitude Respite amid the broken gums Once pristine land, frigid river runs The motley greys and ghostly blues They bask aloud in nature's hue Sallowed existence, might he live Yet asking now, Who's to forgive? Eddie, I sure soared reading this one and I loved the line "motley grey" that was like seeing the color in front of my eyes. You know I love eagles and I enjoyed the vivid portrayal you gave us in this one. |
