Some Things Dwell in Silence

by Michael

Some things
dwell in silence
yet,
you are unaware.

They do not breathe,
but still
they live and wait.

They rest
at the foot of your bed
while you sleep.

They watch.

Should you awaken,
they quickly scurry off,

sometimes...

A friend of mine
once had one follow him
to the bathroom
in the wee hours
of the morning.

He caught a quick glimpse
of this thing in the mirror.

He moved.

It followed.

It ALWAYS follows
once it's been
SEEN.

I was asleep one night
with my left arm
hanging off the side
of the bed.

I was awakened suddenly
by something holding my hand.

I screamed!

I stayed up
the rest of the night.

Boo!

.....I thought it a spider
.....but then you suggested
.....he'd sit down beside her
third
.....and then you said
.....it would hold my hand
.....I hope I'm not awake all night tonight

Wish I had your phone number, son,
I'd call you at 3:00AM as I shudder, waiting for 'them' :darklol

in silence, dwell a while
remember back, a soft smile
in silence, hold my hand...
in remember, love was...grand...

harboring memories
this I do
take my hand
as I still love you

yes, it can be
taken two ways...

well done, Sir

I must be tired, as I thought it was your shadow, and read this totally different than anyone else. But if you do it ooga booga, it is kinda scary alright, but fun!
