Looking inside
For answers
I find
Twilight,
Resplendent with
Pernicious mystery,
Folding itself over landscapes
To hide all that fear
The light.

Quiet,
lonely places…
Safely navigated in
Daytime, become
Traps for those
Foolish enough
To enter

As craven worries
Stalk even brave
Hearts through
The darkened
Alleys of
Your mind.

Finding the light
Of discovery
Comes only after
Nightmares
Of twilight
Searches.

I feel the great need to bring along a candle, but would need to enclose it within glass, for fear of a breath...

Lady... thank you for the compliment. The poem to me lacks a cohesiveness and the closing is less than I would like as it is too obvious..perhaps one day I will rework..

The search never ends, my friend -- we simply collect clues to the answer in the process...

I enjoyed the discovery taking place inside one's mind at the most enchanting time of day.  A marvelous adventure indeed.

this is so soft and quiet...yet it is vivid, too, in its imagery

enjoyed the whispers, because that's truly how they felt

now this reads out loud very well. . .

may I offer a suggestion for the ending??

Discovering that
the light of
introspection
Comes only after
the darkness of
Nightmares

It's just an idea. . . hope that it helps. . .
