One Hairy Balinese Snuggler Virginia Salter I feel a prickly kind of pain inside each of my thighs I look down between my knees and spy two wanton eyes they lie each side a nose above four whisker rows each she’s begging with her toes that I will pose a reach to lift and let her cling upon my shoulder sure she is my ding-a-ling a-lookin’ for a cure sometimes she has a yen to cuddle, snuggle well but should I initiate she’d likely meow, “...to h***!” Ling-ling is her name she’s quite unique you see a character inane who loves to torture me she sits about so beautiful posing like a Sphinx causing me to wonder what in the world she thinks ‘nd if I want to hold her when she’s a mind like this she greets each overture with a loud and lusty hiss but for now she wants my chest and lap to satisfy the longing in her heart as I, to her whim comply © July 17, 2000 one of my cats is a Balinese...long-haired, long-bodied cat with brown seal point Siamese markings [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 07-13-2001).] |

What a spoiled little thing..... I've got a tortoise-shell who is much more independent, but we love her just the same.... I liked the imagery in your poem. |

This was written last summer, ...bob, this summer I've had to take her to the vet alot so there's only been a couple times lately that she's intiated wanting any company from ME that person, that human that subjected her to that carrier and PILLS AND LIQUID MEDICINE. She's become quite independent this year and hides a great deal, too. |

yep, walt, I agree, the use of me was to be a childish feel, which sometimes I think that's waht I be when it comes to cats, but I'm going to change it to be more grammatically correct, after all adults love cats, too , you betcha dey do, snookums! |
