I am the cat
tail--twitching--
yowling at the door
the one you fed
one time too much
the purr that
growls for more.

I am restlessness
of toss
in count of sheep
in weep of cost--
I am black cat
eyes aglow..
that thing you
wish you'd never known...

I am fire.
I am earth.
I am sadness.
I am mirth.

I am Goddess, giving birth...
(My God, don't leave me here alone.)

Ahh, the elements of life. What more could you ask for? A very wonderful write and cats do have their way about them, as any animal lover can attest to..very gentle smile, enjoyed very much

Cats are michievious and loving, playful when they want, You've penned this one well. The kittens in my closet could tell a lot if they could talk.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.

Thanks to all! This one was sort inspired by my cat, "mojo" who is a wicked little snob! Now I owe her a hug...(she HATES when that happens...heh heh) Thanks again for reading, I appreciate the kindness as always!

Thanks for popping in Linda...made my day!
And yep...Mojo kitty is the one and the same whisky drinking cat...except it's just Crown Royal...trying to think, I don't believe I've drank southern comfort since I was a kid...er...a young adult?   A little too sweet for me, But not bad for a very cold Mardi Gras!   Thanks again...I'm off to yowl with the bad kitty now!
