wrote this for a friend whose 21 year old nephew was killed in a drug-related thing...he had a little girl, and had gotten off drugs..but still had some friends in that "part of the world"...
===================================================

as your song
finds its last note
your tune lingers
on my mind
as it will
even after the tears
are lessened

i will hum your tune--
loving you...
though only you
could fill in
the words

i will listen
to the music
you've left behind
and sometimes
i will close my eyes
urging the tears
to escape
while i find my
smile

remembering
the magic of you...

This is a wonderful tribute to a friend, d... Sometimes there just aren't adequate reasons, ya know?

This piece fits your name very well.... I'm sure the rain did fall after your friend read this heartfelt dedication to her son. How very sad. You are a considerate and warm friend to have written such a loving poem. I'm new here as of today... Just registered and looking forward to reading some good poetry... just like this one. Love and peace ((~.~))

dg, a sad and lovely piece. Too much lose going on here lately. Makes one think of their own mortality.

dg,

it has been a long while since i read your work and i don't know how to respond to this one...i suspect i feel a little helpless for i hate to admit that life can be that fragile....

hope life's well,
