Cold air
And rain that falls,
Freezing on all
It touches,
Back dropped day
Framed in ice,
Hangs timeless
As winter hold
Its sway.

This pain
In my chest gnaws
At reason and comfort
Leaving uncertainty
To stifle each breath

The ice will melt,
And seasons will change
As all things do…
Leaving another canvas
To be mounted
Admired or
Despised

Breathe…
Each lungful a passing
Of life and time
Exhaled…to form clouds
In the cold…
That disappear
Leaving little
To mark your
Passing

But an image
Framed in
glistening

Oh I like this!  I was going to paste my favorite stanza, then I kept finding another, so just consider the entire of it a wonder to me!

Nicely done, winters just around the corner. Wish I had a fire place!

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.
