I'll never write another poem about you,
For you,
Or to you.
Not because I hate you,
Or because I'm mad at you,
I've just grown tired of it,
Every poem is the same thing,
'I hate being far away from you..',
I don't need to remind myself over and over,
I'll never have another dream about you,
Including you,
Or even just mentioning you.
Not because I don't want to,
Or because I've had enough of them,
It's just that I'm tired,
They wake me in the middle of the night,
Only so I can feel sorry for myself.
I'll never have another daydream about you,
Not another fantasy,
Not even another though.
Ok maybe I will think of you,
But no more thoughts of you holding me,
Kissing me,
Only friendly thoughts.
I'll never write another poem about you,
For you,
Or to you.
Oh, if only it were that easy.

Whoa...

...this is some beautiful stuff. Not because of some flowery content, it's far from that..still beautiful...maybe it's the way it's written..honest...it just..I don't know. Hit me, I guess. You've said what I've felt before, maybe even what I'm feeling now, and you didn't worry about metaphors or all that crap...you've taught me a lot by sharing this. Thanks.

I like this. The whole "getting over someone" thing is a lot harder than people realise. Your poem rings true, maaaaaaaaan....

It is VERY hard to do. Truely. I pride myself on being strong, but in love/relationships....eeekkkk it's so hard.
