Hidden Away Forever

I'm all locked up,
And I've thrown away the key.
You can't get through-
I'm hidden, don't you see?

I'm hidden away forever,
I cannot ever be found.
Gone and lost forever,
No matter how much you may hound.

This place I've gone to hide in,
It's safe and dark and warm.
As soon as I step foot outside,
I seem to meet a storm.

A flurry of questions-
Who, what, where, and why?
I draw back to my hidey-hole
Until my end draws nigh.

I will not come for you, my friend,
I've been alone too long.
But when my place fades away,
I must stand bold and strong.

I cannot remain forever,
This I know to be true.
All I know is I like it,
Here away from you.

Hi, I'm Anamaniac. I love writing and reading poetry, and hope to read some good stuff here. I just recently got internet access, and I'm very excited. Now I can finally SHARE my poems, and put some of my HTML knowledge to use! hehe, HTML isn't very useful without a computer....
