The dark corners of your mind

Cry out in fear
Now also in wonder...
Break free from your shell
Now see the world in its entirety
Not from within the cage you called love
First fearing loneliness
Then letting your curiosity drive you
Wander out from the shadows of the past
Enjoy the first glimpse of blinding sunlight
Be free.... as you are now
Do not forget to cry
The tears free you from the pain
Let them now be tears of independence
Tears of joy
Tears of simple freedom

I like this alot, I thought you created some good images in this poem, the idea of love being a cage was very good

This was very well written and I'm so glad that you decided to share it with us!! Great imagery in here.  Tears can truly equal many much more than just sadness.

Always,
Nikki
