Acceptance should never cross our minds,
Yet we wish to have acceptance, to have admiration.
No one should feel obliged to worry about it.
Instead, we should cherish the friends we have.
Those people, our friends, are our REAL friends, our TRUE friends.
They won’t betray us.
Nor shall they abandon us in times of need.
You see, that’s why friends live.
Part of their purpose is to make us feel good about ourselves.
They enjoy us for our real personalities,
Not the person we dream to be.
So always, always live your life how you want to
And never change yourself.
For people exist in the world who prefer the REAL you
And they go by, your friends.
