I dread to sleep each night
knowing what my dreams will be
I lay awake for hours on end
until Queen Mab catches up to me
and when I do finally settle in
your standing there smiling face to face
eyes aflame your beauty radiant
I gasp, I choke, I try to breathe, I can't
slowly you reach out to me
take my hand and hold it near
"Oh Dear"; you whisper in my ear
we dance to timeless tunes
or sail the ocean fair
each night brings something new
something new, something new
but always with you.
always you standing at my side
content to watch me fly so high
on Icarus wings.
And when I fall, I scream
until I understand, it's nothing new
I'm here with you
standing on faerie ground.
We are happy here dancing in the moonlight,
sitting under the stars, listening to the storm
until you start to drift away
and beg me to come back to you.
I try and try amid the laughter fey
but you are gone to the coming day.
I hate to dream each night
falling asleep into you
for in the morning I'll know
my dreams will never be true.

ex animo,
Aaron

aaron woodside-

Beautifully written. QUEEN MAB!!! ^___^ Sorry. Reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. Anyways, I enjoyed the rhyming, though sometimes it was hard for me to find which word was rhyming (in other words, there was no pattern), however, that's not a bad thing. Rhyming isn't everything. ^^

Good to see you posting again!

Rip? Normally I'd love to, but there's not a reason to in this case. It caught my attention at first because I have a problem with insomnia and I wasn't disappointed. I love it when that happens.

Hey, look at me.
