Bad Moments (Updated)

"Bad Moments"

Verse 1:
Old man lives in a cardboard box,
He calls "Home Sweet Home".
Divorced once, he's lived the
Past forty years alone.
Besides whiskey and cigarettes,
He has no friends at all.
His family doesn't even know him,
They're not there to see him fall.
He is begging for change all day,
No break for a broken man.
People shout: "Get a job, you slob".
But no one seems to understand.

Chorus:
It's so hard to live, such bad moments.
It's such a shame they're even there.
The road of life is much too crooked
Long and lonely, and so unfair.

Verse 2:
Mother and child in their wrecked car,
Driving down to the pen.
She is gonna meet her daddy,
Whose not out 'til she's ten.
They walk into the sterile room,
Where he's waiting anxiously.
He cries when he sees her,
His heart is aching terribly
She reaches for the glass to touch him
One hour's all they get
So time flew by with the I "love you's"
Spoken with such regret.

Bridge:
The folks making all that easy money,
Are getting the hardworking people down.
They say with a laugh, "You don't own a dime"!
Do you know how ridicules that sounds?
'Cause they don't care that...
